Maintenance tips: Broken Tie RodOne important thing to remember when you’re fixing a broken tie rod on a hydraulic breaker: All of the remaining tie rods should be backed off and then re-torqued. The rest of the rods will have more or less pull on them when one breaks, so while you’re already working on the breaker it’s a good idea to check them all and re-torque as necessary.
